The Youth Company will perform a mixed-repertory program featuring modern and classical works, including Les Sylphides, excerpts from Napoli and Le Corsaire, Balanchine’s Tarantella and a new modern piece by Josie Moseley.
An annual favorite, the Spring Concert brings together tradition and innovation. The program reaches into the past for classical ballet, and into the future with the newest works by contemporary choreographers. The Portland Ballet’s Youth Company work closely with teachers, choreographers, and costumers to develop an evening of lively, gorgeous dance.
